Okay. How many gods are here? I've met two and there are three demigods myself included.
and demons while were at it. my father works with demons all the time and my children are demons so no judgement there.
Im just trying to figure out how this place works.

I'm sorry, but forgetting your mother would never be a kindness.
But, at least, it sounds like he was trying to protect you since you were so young.

its nothing bad. its just something thats true. even if they want to think like humans.
[He thinks about Apollo, who had been mortal for a bit, and how he despaired about the divide between the gods and mortals.]

No wills probably asleep right now, but not dreaming deep enough to be here.

[ she is so conflicted. more than that, she's unhappy. just how different are mortals from gods? could it be that much? at times she did feel that divide. that the near and far shore are apt names. opposing sides of the river of life.
other times, they didn't feel so far away.
but gods are born of human wishes, aren't they? there is humanity within them. she's seen it more than once. ]
What's the difference between thinking like a human and thinking like a god?

Age mostly. they forget how time affects us more than them. how much less we have of it. they have different prioties and will focus on their domain over the people it touches.
Its not really a bad thing. frustrating some times.

[ not that she can talk with her narcolepsy ha ha ]

What if there is a god that realizes that life and a mortal's time are precious? What if that god's priority is making other people happy and not himself?

I have to admit with my unique prospective on life and death Im somewhere between mortals and gods. I know where Ill end up when I die. Ill continue to exist as I am and continue to serve my father.

That sounds like you think like you have to.

I think that to stay sane gods need to see things differently. imagine having a human perspective and living for so long.

the second sentence leaves her speechless. hand unmoving. eventually, however, ]
I didn't think of it like that.
Is it painful for gods to be around mortals?

What do you think a mortal should do if a god cares about them? Would it be kinder to [ even writing it makes her feel sick. much less thinking about it.
the next two words are jagged, as if her hand shook as she wrote it. ]
cut ties?
