[Futaba's writing is... something. We'll leave it at that. She's pretty excited though, and she's ready to find others who are just as excited for ✨TECHNOLOGY✨ as she is here.]
Sooooo we all know that this place has no computers or internet or anything which is the actual worst, right? Unless of course you don't know what those ARE, but you will in a moment.
If we're talking computers, I got my laptop back! But with no electricity, I can't really keep it charged unless I kinda use up all my dreamotion energy, which isn't really a great long-term solution. Once we can figure out a better sustainable way to power it, or just figure out electricity, it won't be a problem. (If you wanna see what a computer is in a small package, lemme know. I'll even take it apart for you!) I know there were some crystals or something that gave off dreamotion energy or something that someone found? TELL ME ABOUT THEM, I wanna know how they work!!!
And well, an internet is probably a long way off, but I wouldn't mind having that as a pet project, if other people who know what it is can help me figure it out. I don't really wanna get into the hyper specifics of how it works, doing a whole TED talk on it isn't in the cards right now, but! Imagine being able to find something if we can connect to a network, or even— even some old vintage-style websites! Man, does anyone even make websites like GeoUrbs anymore?
Uh... anyway. So if anyone has some ideas for a good way to change dreamotion into sustainable energy or to figure out how to get it to work like electricity, lemme know because I have a very big itch to play some games but a battery life of like two hours isn't great.
[Look the latest version of Concluding Fantasy isn't going to play itself here, nor is all of her anime going to watch itself.]

I suspect they needed a lot more power than what just the two of us could have done.
no subject
Where'd you find 'em? Did you bring any back with you? If you did, can you bring it to me so I can see it for myself? C'mon Kazuma, I need answers!
[as if talking like this isn't fast enough for her or something. CALM DOWN, FUTABA.]
no subject
I could show you where I found them. We weren't able to remove them from the appliances they were attached to.
no subject
That's fine! I don't think I can carry you in Al Azif again but if you don't mind taking a few breaks if it's kinda far out, we can go right now!
[She's still not the pinnacle of stamina and the ability to walk far distances yet, but she won't ask Kazuma to carry her or anything— she's not that weak!!!]
no subject
Would you like me to come get you, or can you meet me at this location? [And he'll jot down the location of the run down restaurant. It's definitely not on the outskirts, but it's not in the direct center of town either.]
no subject
I can meet you there, that looks easy to get to. I'll see you there, Kazuma! I'm making like a hedgehog and rollin' out!
[She'll have her journal with her, but she's zooming on her way to the location, just like said blue hedgehog.]

no subject
Kazuma! You look normal this time! No more cute cat ears or tail... and no skeletons to tickle torture you here either!
[She seems in pretty high spirits if she's bringing that up!]

This place has been long abandoned. So you should be able to investigate to your heart's content. [He moves to the entrance, waiting for Futaba to join him. Their destination will be in the back room, where all the kitchen appliances are. Mind the dust.]
no subject
[It made him mad, too, but he doesn't have squishy cute cat cheeks here, just normal boring human ones.
She's sticking to his side pretty well as he goes to the entrance, and she peers inside. It didn't sound like there was anything dangerous in here, just some darkness and whatnot. Easily dealt with.]
Just looks like a lot of dust so far, but I don't see anything too interesting up front beyond that. Looks like the Hydeout, just... missing some claw marks and really rundown.
no subject
I'm sure this place was more well put together than the Hydeout. [He'll go ahead and direct her toward the kitchen. A few appliances have been shifted about since his last visit here, but the crystals can be visibly seen attached them] Let me know if you need me to move anything.
no subject
[...because he was Catzuma... that's it. She won't say it, though.
Once she knows it's not really dangerous, she'll leave his side to stroll on into the kitchen, zeroing in on the appliances with the crystals, and going quickly over to them.]
Well you're taller than me so you can probably reach other places... [Right now she's content with what she can grab and look at, examining a toaster from every angle.]
How far in here did you look? Like, through all the cabinets and stuff? Or just what was visible?
[She's also on the lookout for anything that looks like it could hold dream energy to have charged these items at one time, so this question is an important one.]
no subject
We checked everything. Couldn't find any wires attached to these things, or a loose crystal to take back.
[He's going to give Futaba some space while she works. He'll grab whatever she ask of him though if it's out of her reach.]
no subject
[It really is giving her warm fuzzies, and she turns to give him a big smile because it does feel nice.]
But I don't mean like that. He has a persona too. So he's a cat, but part of the team!
[She can open a couple cabinets that are taller than her, but she sees a couple things that could maybe be a help to everything.]
Hey, is that a blender up there? And a rice cooker? I won't try to get them myself 'cause I'd have to climb up and we don't want that. [...] I kinda wanna take the rice cooker for myself, if I can figure out how to power it...
[Food is a good motivator. Always has been.]
no subject
A cat with a persona. [You would think he be used to hearing strange things after traveling to two different worlds at this point, but here we are. His mind just thinks the persona is probably a giant fish.
He looks up to where Futaba is indicating.] That's a rice cooker...? [He's never seen a modern version if it is. So that admittedly has him curious enough to go ahead and do the climbing and reaching for stuff without being prompted. It's not a problem for him, though maybe he'll disturb some rainbow dust in the process. He'll set the two appliances down on the counter, one that looked like a "blender" and a "rice cooker".]
no subject
Yup, Mona was the first. He can talk too, but that might be too much of a tall tale for you to believe unless you met him yourself.
[For Futaba the more modern appliances are pretty... normal, but for Kazuma... right, they're probably not normal.]
Looks like it! [Once they're down, her grin grows.] Heh heh, it really IS! It's not quite as modern as we have now, but it'd make rice no problem. Same deal as with the toaster, the crystal is just... attached. No outlets, either, at least anything that looks like one. You said you kinda powered up what you found the last time, but did it take a lot of your energy to do? And, can you show me? Just a little bit, doesn't need to be a lot.
[She's oddly serious while she's looking over everything, really computing it in her head as she looks everything over. Hope you don't mind being her temporary guinea pig!]
no subject
He observes Futaba talk with such enthusiasm, it's almost difficult to keep up.] We caught a few insects and whatever dream energy that had made the crystal light up a little. We couldn't get much else. [But he'll see if he can try. Just imagine the rice cooker is functioning? Positive feelings? That's a little difficult to do after his wild Noctaere episode in the forest. So rather than power up the rice cooker, some sort of dark cloud forms inside the crystal.] . . .That's not what happened before.
