[Futaba's writing is... something. We'll leave it at that. She's pretty excited though, and she's ready to find others who are just as excited for ✨TECHNOLOGY✨ as she is here.]

Sooooo we all know that this place has no computers or internet or anything which is the actual worst, right? Unless of course you don't know what those ARE, but you will in a moment.

If we're talking computers, I got my laptop back! But with no electricity, I can't really keep it charged unless I kinda use up all my dreamotion energy, which isn't really a great long-term solution. Once we can figure out a better sustainable way to power it, or just figure out electricity, it won't be a problem. (If you wanna see what a computer is in a small package, lemme know. I'll even take it apart for you!) I know there were some crystals or something that gave off dreamotion energy or something that someone found? TELL ME ABOUT THEM, I wanna know how they work!!!

And well, an internet is probably a long way off, but I wouldn't mind having that as a pet project, if other people who know what it is can help me figure it out. I don't really wanna get into the hyper specifics of how it works, doing a whole TED talk on it isn't in the cards right now, but! Imagine being able to find something if we can connect to a network, or even— even some old vintage-style websites! Man, does anyone even make websites like GeoUrbs anymore?

Uh... anyway. So if anyone has some ideas for a good way to change dreamotion into sustainable energy or to figure out how to get it to work like electricity, lemme know because I have a very big itch to play some games but a battery life of like two hours isn't great.

Most of them were kind of broken, though...

Well that's fine, Kazuma's taking me over there to see for myself, broken or not. But you're gonna help me power things when I take one back, I'm not letting you off the hook! It's either that, or let me give mom's curry recipe to someone! Or... both!

You can count me in for trying to get them powered, however which way. If there's someone that can figure out the weird balance of magic and technology that probably comes with it, it'd be you Futaba.

As added penance, well... I may not have the recipe written down, but if there's someone who would like to learn, we should invite them over to give it a try.

REALLY? I can teach 76 mom's recipe? He said he'd make it over a CAMPFIRE and we should totally try it that way too!

[She's very excited about this idea. It's almost like kind of camping out in a big ol' camper with the Phantom Thieves! ...in another universe, perhaps.]

But now there's two things that need to be done! Because of course I can figure it out, I just need some time and some guinea pigs. I think if a lot of people can help me, it won't be too much of a problem, and others have said they wanna help me to figure it out too.

Full rustic, huh? It might mean some extra prep work beforehand, but... yeah, I think that could definitely work. Sounds like you've made a pretty good friend.

( honestly, he's proud!! the sharing of the recipe is like a honorary badge of honour in this fam, so they must be pretty close if futaba is looking to spread the good curry gospel. )

Definitely. Also, I do have some professional experience as a guinea pig, if you still need some volunteers.

Yeah! He's really nice, kinda rough... he's like Sojiro if he was more cooking and less coffee. I met him when I was still in the Index. He made me some curry after I first got there and was scared of everything new. He and Kazuma were really nice to me.

[The curry, of course, was not Mom's Curry Recipe, but it was good enough because who doesn't love differing kinds of your fave comfort food in scary and confusing situations? Kazuma found her and brought her to his seedy as hell food place, and 76 made sure she was well-fed and not interacting with people there— mainly, living up to his Dad76 name in being menacing to everyone but Futaba. A good Dad76.]

It won't be anything bad, just... seeing how much one can power a crystal with dreams, and if there's different kinds. I just need to find more.

Ah, so more like a reunion then? That's definitely cause for celebration. I did manage to score some coffee beans, thanks to our efforts last month, too.

( and what better way to celebrate than a hearty meal, together?? futaba had clearly formed some strong bonds during her time in the index— and ren could certainly get on board to support that. )

It was actually surprisingly difficult trying to dislodge one of them. Almost like— maybe they weren't meant to be replaced. Easily, at least. Or we might have just gone about it the wrong way... But. If we can't bring them to you, then—

Yeah, kinda! Aah, I'm excited now! I'll have to let him know you can teach him and I'll be there for moral support and to try the finished product.

Really? Maybe it was made with it on? I'll take a good look once I get the chance, I'm supposed to meet Kazuma anyway so I can look at 'em.

( ren, for his part, is definitely interested in meeting another of futaba's friends !! the price of curry was a small one to pay for the sake of BONDS. )
