Subject: Requesting Personal Stories About Adventures and/or Travels and Other Items in Relation to Dream Board Post #1205

I am in need of numerous stories about any kind of adventure, journey, or travel you may have embarked on be it in this world or your own.

If you've seen my posting on the board, this post is to provide fuller details about the situation. Last month I had been...trapped in a large tree located on the eastern forests, and within this tree are seven dogs which look like corgis. [Have an imprinted image of what the adorable fluffballs look like:]



It all appears to have been pulled in from another world and has remnants of its original magic in place. This magic is a protection spell and prevents the dogs and anything within the tree to leave. Should the dogs somehow manage to leave without it... They will likely die.

Even if it's for their protection, the dogs need and want to go outside. Furthermore, Should something happen to the tree they wouldn't be able to escape. Fortunately, a way to break the original enchantment and cast a new one to protect them as they live in this world has been found. It's simple and requires the following:

• Bee Honey
  
• Fish Scales
  
• Adventure Stories

None of these are specific so it's whatever can be found, though the better quality, the better chance of succeeding. However, because of the number of dogs, a large amount of each will be needed to ensure they are properly protected. It would be better if there was a better solution, but this will have to do for now.

As for the adventure stories, as mentioned I need a large amount so I would like to ask any willing to share any personal stories they had. There are no specifics, but I get the sense the story should have some spirit of exploration and discovery, which would fit the purpose of the spell. These stories will be transcribed in a journal used for the spell.

Finally, I am looking to create a headstone. The tree and the dogs had a guardian before, however he perished upon leaving the tree. The remains have been buried, but a headstone would be appropriate as well.

[ An entry about corgis? Right after she contacted Jiang Cheng about walking his dog...? Well, there have certainly been stranger coincidences. Sad as their story is, it catches their Susato's attention, that she has a chance to help them. ]

Perhaps I could be of assistance? I've done a fair bit of traveling over the past year... I'd also be happy to help transcribe the stories wherever it's needed, if you like.

[ Maybe everyone will presumably transcribe their stories themselves, but... some might not. Might as well offer her skills as a legal aid, for those who prefer a more oral approach. ]

[He doesn't mind doing most of the work himself, but realistically he only has so much time and there's a lot to do. So Susato helping would be a boon.]

Sure, of course. How many journals do you think we'll need? Do you already have them? I've amassed a small collection myself in my time here, but I don't mind giving up a few for the cause.

Thank you, but I've already acquired two just in case, but I would be surprised if we managed to fill one completely.

Though since you have so many...are you a writer?

Back home, I was trained as a legal aid. I did a lot of studying and took very extensive and detailed case notes, so I am used to transcribing things like witness statements and cross examinations.

I'm certain I could manage the same for the stories, if I could see what I am working with.

[Hum. Of course he'll have to wait for the finished product to really judge, but given that he's not really seeking much she's likely more than qualified.]

From what I was told, the stories do not need to be an embellished narrative. Perhaps we could try with each of our own and see what works best, though everyone will their story in their own way.

Indeed they will. Quantity over quality, perhaps. I suppose the more stories are shared, the stronger the effect.

Are we starting from scratch?

Essentially, yes, though they should be true personal accounts than made up fabrications.

No, I have no intention of lying. If you'll allow me to come get the notebook you wish to use for the spell, then I can get started.

[A small pause before he adds something after a few moments.]

Unless you're curious and wish to see them.

[ She is staring at his offer for the moment. She really can't think of a reason to say no. ]

Is it far? The tree.

It's a bit of a walk but not too far.

[...Hm.]

If you'd rather an escort I can meet you at the road exiting out of town and guide you.

[ .....Hmm. She taps the quill against the page indecisively for a moment before deciding that it is a good compromise. ]

If it is not too much trouble? I can be there about fifteen minutes.

Not at all. Go towards the west entrance and I'll be there.

Understood.

[ --UH, EXCEPT. SHE NEVER ASKED HIM WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE, which she doesn't really think about until she's most of the way there already. She doesn't seem to worried though, and would rather not bother him with another message.

When she gets to the west entrance, she's a little early, leaving her time to flip through a notebook of hers while she leans against a tree.

Is it ~the~ notebook? Yeah, probably. She's being nosy- ]

[TO BE FAIR Eustace also had neglected to ask...though probably because he figured he'd figure it out. Not many people traverse through except to go hunting or to the fields.

So when he arrives not long after and sees a young woman leaning against a tree flipping through a notebook with no one else around, he just walks right to her.]

Miss Susato Mikotoba?

[ Just don't laugh at her ugly-ass Christmas-tree sweater, styled with tinsel and bells. It clashes terribly with her kimono and she still hasn't been home to convince herself out of it.

...She looks up, shutting the notebook with a friendly smile in greeting. ]

Ah, yes. And you must be Eustace.

[...It's fine... His is half covered by the light jacket and cloak he wears over it, but...yeah. If she needed any confirmation this is it right there.

So no he won't judge and just nod in conformation.]

Susato does find herself considering this as she glances over the sweater, but she shakes her head. After all, she wouldn't have agreed to come if she did. ]

Not at all. It is not my first time enjoying a forest hike. [ Though it is just a little colder now than it was then. The sweater, ugly as it was, at least had some use. ] I hope you don't mind me following your lead, in that case.

Not at all. I've already cleared most of it on my way here so it shouldn't be too difficult. There aren't a lot of wild animals in the area, either, so it should be safe—but keep your guard up.

[Who knows what the changing of the season might bring, especially in these unknown lands and creatures. And with that he turns and walks down the road leading towards the forest.]

Right.

[ Susato takes a breath and steels herself before quickly moving to follow, eager keep up and not fall behind. The forest is dark with it being overcast, and a light snow falls on them despite the impressive canopy.

Even so, it's only flurries. She's come prepared with a bottle of water, and she keeps her eye out for any signs of the wild animals he's mentioned that might have slipped through his cracks. ]

[It'll be a relatively quiet walk as Eustace is definitely not a conversation starter, and fortunately a peaceful one. He'll comment every now and then whenever she needs to be careful of her footing and will up any low hanging branches for her to pass through. But then there will be the sudden rustle of leaves and...!!!!



Out hops a little brown rabbit.]

[ She doesn't mind the silence between them, though the leaves rustling suddenly does alarm her. She tenses, trying to keep her guard up, but when she sees the adorable little rabbit, it's quite anticlimactic. ]

Ohh, you little rascal. [ Phew. ] You gave me quite the scare.

[Eustace had remained calm, but he does glance back to see her reaction, a small grin briefly forming before he turns back around.]

A few more might pop out like that, along with squirrels and chipmunks.

There's actually a way to be able to tell if something making noise is small like a rodent or something larger.

[ She smiles too when she sees him do so, the shock wearing off. ]

Oh? I haven't spent very much time in the wilderness until recently. What way might that be?
