So. If you had a friend here and then he's no longer here and he's pretty goddamn easy to find otherwise?

What happened? Did he wake up? So he's fine, yeah? Is that how it works? Because I know where he is if that's the case. I just want to make sure.

Your friend sounds like a complete otaku. I don't mean that in a bad way, for the record.

You're welcome. As for my name, yes, it's my real name. It was assigned to me shortly after my birth. If you want to be technical, my full title is Satan, Avatar of Wrath. I have to admit though, I've never heard anyone say my name was metal. I suppose it would be unusual to you, wouldn't it?

Oh, so it's a title and a name. Makes more sense. Because unless you're into death metal I don't think people go for that as a name.

And yeah, Kasuga-kun loves games and Dragon Quest. He wants us all to play eventually and we probably will.

So it really is an RPG. I thought so. One of my brothers is into video games and anime to an almost unhealthy degree so I've learned a little bit about them through osmosis. Do you know if it's one of those games that have 200 sequels and sidequels? If so, you're going to have to make a LOT of time.

Uh...I don't remember a lot about Dragon Quest, but you can't NOT know anything about it in Japan so.

It's one of those series that does have a lot of series but they're all independent. I know they started making them before I was born and they're still making them now. If Kasuga-kun plays the later ones, his brain might explode.

You get things right as they come out, and even if they're imports you only have to wait a year or two at the most. I'm used to waiting decades to get certain books. I'm glad I'm not incredibly invested in anime because I'd probably tear my hair out over the wait.

Not much of an anime fan, but trying to follow any show with a cliffhanger that you can't immediately see what happens is a goddamn pain in the ass.

It's not so much the postal service as it is that very few people are allowed to use our very convenient transportation portals.

Right? For me, I get that feeling with books. You spend hours reading a really good story only for it to end with questions unanswered, or the main plot purposefully unresolved, all in hopes of a sequel. However, just like shows, sometimes the next part doesn't come. The next book in a series never releasing, a show getting canceled despite being popular, the creator dying so the story goes in a completely different direction when someone else takes over as the author or showrunner....

It's difficult to consume media of any kind because once you get invested, chances are you're likely to end up disappointed.

I've only been able to really watch more TV recently. We have to share one so the person who wins for the evening gets to pick the show. We're watching some cop drama 'cause one of my friends used to be a detective and it's actually getting decent now. Enough that we all scream when the show is over and we gotta wait another week.

I will say that's definitely a huge con of being here. I can't keep up with any of the shows I'd been watching. I also had a routine where the last thing I would do before bed every evening was browse a cat forum on my phone. On the bright side, I guess that means I'll have a ton of content waiting for me eventually, though.

And I assume it's the same for you. You can all watch your dramas together someday. Then you won't have to worry about cliffhangers, at least not until the season finale.

But cat photos? What, do you have a bunch of cats where you're from or you just like them in general?

I like animals in general, but cats are my favorite. They're so cute and innocent. Especially when they're kittens. If you hold a newborn kitten in your hands, there's no way your heart won't melt.

[ He's supposed to be a demon, but probably isn't giving off that impression given the fact he's gushing over the very idea of cats. ]

We have a few cats in the Devildom, most of them strays, but there was a strict no pet rule in place back in the House of Lamentation. Not that it was ever fairly enforced. Luckily, there are no such restrictions here!

Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?
